The Verge is a single shape repeated at two lengths. Everything the system can do comes out of that one decision.

The profile
A folded panel with the front cut away.
Each rack is a panel folded into an L, with a lip returning up at the front. The scallops are cut out of that lip. A round jar laid on its side drops into a scallop and stops there, lid to the room, held between the fold behind and the cut in front.
That is the whole mechanism. No clips, no magnets, no rails, and nothing that only fits one brand of jar.

Repeat, don't configure.
A modular system that needs planning is furniture with homework. Every Verge rack fits every other, so the only decision is how many.

Storage that hides what it holds gets used once. Lids face out so a row reads from across the room.

iiiLeave the floor alone.
Most rooms are short of floor, not wall. Two keyhole slots and the wall is doing work it wasn't doing before.

Black draws the line. White lets it go.
On a pale wall, gloss black turns each row into a drawn rule. White disappears and leaves the jars to do the talking.

The name
A signet is a mark pressed into a surface.
It seemed the right name for a row of round lids, turned out to face the room and pressed into a wall.
